Vintage Radio Studio In The Making at RBI

RBI, Radio Bluegrass International's Derik Wayne is seeking donations or loans of old radio studio gear.

RBI is the 24 hour Internet broadcast arm of the International Bluegrass Museum in Owensboro, KY. They've been working diligently to make the RBI Studios into a working display within the museum.
According to Wayne, "I want to build a “vintage looking” on-air studio for the museum’s station to broadcast from and be on display. I already have a decent start on collecting items for the build, but I’m still on the lookout for more “vintage” equipment to add to the display.  Equipment like old microphones, turntables, decorations, or other unique items that were found in radio stations over the years".

"The museum is all about displaying and preserving the heritage of this musical art-form know as bluegrass. Why not display what helped get the music to the rest of the world – radio. People from all over the world not only listen to RBI, but visit the Museum on a regular basis. We have displays for everything but radio of the 'vintage' era".

Wayne can be contacted at the Museum 270-926-789 -or- 1-888-MY BANJO (toll-free) or EMAIL
