DAILEY & VINCENT BRING HOME SEVEN SPBGMA BLUEGRASS MUSIC AWARDS
Dailey & Vincent brought home seven trophies from the 37th Annual SPBGMA Bluegrass Music Awards, held at the Music City Sheraton last night.
Together they were honored for Bluegrass Band of the Year, Entertaining Group of the Year, and Album of the Year (for Dailey & Vincent Sing the Statler Brothers on Cracker Barrel/Rounder Records). They also won their third consecutive awards for Vocal Group of the Year and Gospel Group of the Year/Contemporary. Additionally, Jamie Dailey was named Male Vocalist of the Year/Contemporary, and Darrin Vincent took home honors for Bass Fiddle Performer of the Year, their third consecutive wins in those categories.
“We love to sing, and we love to entertain. Thanks to all of you for letting us do what we love to do,” said Dailey.
“We also want to thank the guys in our band, who make it a joy to travel and play across the country, and our families for their support,” said Vincent.
Dailey & Vincent closed out the awards show with a blistering 30-minute set.
This week they will continue their run of concerts at performing arts centers, playing at the Craterian Theater in Medford, Oregon; the Napa Valley Opera House in Napa, California; and the Haugh Performing Arts Center in Glendora, California, before attending the GRAMMY Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 13. They are nominated for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for “Elizabeth” from Dailey & Vincent Sing the Statler Brothers.
