Robin & Linda Williams' new album Stonewall Country, which comes out today, is a rollicking collection of songs from their popular folk/bluegrass musical about the life and times of legendary Confederate General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson. Feel free to spread the word!
The album was produced by John Jennings (Mary Chapin Carpenter, John Gorka) and features Their Fine Group and special guest, A Prairie Home Companion’s, Garrison Keillor.
It being the sesquicentennial of the Civil War, there will be lots of important anniversaries coming up, including the First Battle of Bull Run (July 21, 1861), where Jackson first rose to prominence and got his nickname "Stonewall."
