The 27th annual Eastern Canada Bluegrass Music Awards were held in Truro on Saturday, with many talented musicians taking home top prizes.

• - Fidle player of the year - Christal Thibault, New Ground
  
• - Guitar player of the year - Darrin Beaton, Bluegrass Tradition
  
• - Mandolin player of the year - David Saulnier, New Ground
  
• - Male vocaist of the year - Glen Williams, Grassfire
  
• - Female vocalist of the year - Christal Thibault, New Ground
  
• - Vocal group of the year - Bluegrass Tradition
  
• - Gospel performance of the year - Bluegrass Tradition
  
• - Individual entertainer - Darren Richard, Bluegrass Tradition
  
• - Recording of the year - A New Shade of Blue
  
• - Most promosing band - Shadow River
  
• - Composer of the year - Karen DeCoste, Bluegrass Tradition
  
• - Promoter of the year - Jerry Murphy
