About Junior Sisk:
Junior Sisk has lived most of his life in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia where he listened to and played the music that was born in the hills of his home state. His songwriting helped The Lonesome River Band in its ascent to bluegrass stardom in the early 1990’s. His lonesome, haunting singing earned him the devotion of traditional bluegrass fans a few years later as a member of Wyatt Rice & Santa Cruz. Subsequently he assembled Rambler’s Choice, which released the acclaimed Sounds Of The Mountains in 1998, and contributed to the IBMA award winning The Stanley Gospel Tradition. A brief stint with The Lost and Found followed before Junior took the lead vocal role for BlueRidge. Junior has been nominated many times for Songwriter and Male Vocalist Of The Year with the International Bluegrass Music Association and Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music. Junior is now back in action with a new lineup of his own Ramblers Choice and loving it! Junior leads Rambler’s Choice in music that moves between uptempo driving bluegrass and country-inspired songs. At the end of it all, it’s the hard drivng, traditional bluegrass sounds of Junior Sisk & Ramblers Choice that keep audiences coming back for more!
