Once again, Valerie Smith is presenting her “Dare To Be Different” showcase event with several top-name acts to help raise funds and awareness for the International Bluegrass Music Museum and their Bluegrass in The Schools program.
The afternoon and evening showcase will be Sunday, September 23, 2012 at The Bell Buckle Banquet Hall in Bell Buckle, TN…just about 50 miles south of Nashville. According to Valerie, “the timing is just perfect for those planning to attend the IBMA World of Bluegrass Conference the following week.”
Performing this year will be:
- Covered Grass from Germany
- The Rigney Family
- Johnny & Jeannette Williams
- Dennis Cash
- Sweet Fancy Moses
- Cane Ridge
- Valerie Smith and Liberty Pike
One spectator at last year’s event said, “I dare anyone to find better entertainment for just a $10 donation anywhere.” Another said, they’ve come just about every year the event has been scheduled because of the quality of the bands.
The banquet hall will be serving food and the music is all presented on an indoor stage.
