Telluride Tickets Go On Sale Next Week!

Image634898908917625425Double-check your calendars right now: Wednesday, December 5. Got it double-highlighted with a glitter pen? At 9am MST on Wednesday Planet Bluegrass will begin selling 4-day passes, camping in 3 additional campgrounds, and single-day tickets for the 40th annual Telluride Bluegrass festival.

Two weeks ago, the first of the 2013 Ticket Lotteries sold out the Town Park and Warner Field campgrounds.

Wait, single-day tickets? Yes! This year the festival will begin selling Telluride Bluegrass single-day tickets when 4-day passes go on sale on Wednesday, December 5. To avoid last year's predicament where demand for single-day tickets forced them into a special ticket lottery, they are making these tickets available from the beginning – before 4-day passes have sold-out. As with 4-day passes, single-day tickets will be fully refundable if returned by March 22, 2013.

Several other ticketing changes for 2013 are something to note. To get tickets into the hands of as many dedicated Festivarians as possible, attendees will now be limited to a maximum of 4 tickets of a given type (e.g. 4-day pass, Friday single-day) per order.

All Telluride Bluegrass tickets will either be emailed (as PDF attachments containing a barcode) or held at will-call. By upgrading their system to use email barcode tickets they aim to deter scalpers and avoid incidents of tickets lost in the mail. This system has worked well for the companies festival in Lyons for several years. As always, Planet Bluegrass charges no handling fees on any orders and they're happy to hold your tickets at will-call.
