2012 SPBGMA Female vocalist of the year Jeanette Williams, along with Valerie Smith and her band Liberty Pike are among the artists who have signed on to perform at an upcoming benefit for west Nashville food pantry, 'The Little Pantry That Could'.
'The Little Pantry That Could', located in the basement of the West Nashville United Methodist Church, is a non-profit food shelter providing staples and fresh produce for 80-90 middle Tennessee families each week. Just a few weeks ago the pantry served 124 families.
The benefit concert will take place Sunday, December 2nd from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the West End Community Church, 235 White Bridge Road in Nashville.
Headlining the concert will be 2-time bluegrass Female Vocalist of the Year and IBMA award winner Jeanette Williams, along with her talented husband Johnny. Jeanette and Johnny have toured and performed bluegrass nationally for many years, both as a duo and with their bands.
Grammy nominee and IBMA award winner Valerie Smith is a talented Missouri native who, in addition to a successful artist career, is also a founder of Bell Buckle Records.
Also scheduled to perform is Grammy award winning bluegrass songwriter Louisa Branscomb, Joe Zauner, among others.
