Rounder Records artists garnered four Grammy® nominations, it was announced last evening by the Recording Academy.
Grammy® Winners will be announced at the 55th Annual Awards, to be broadcast on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on CBS television.
Renowned bluegrass duo Dailey & Vincent received a nomination for Best Bluegrass Album for their “irresistible” (Washington Post) foray into spiritual music, The Gospel Side of Dailey & Vincent. Music News Nashville raved, “On each track, Dailey & Vincent prove why they are the perfect pair.”
The Steep Canyon Rangers’ Nobody Knows You has also been nominated for Best Bluegrass Album. Country Standard Time touted the album’s “traditional-sounding yet wholly original and contemporary bluegrass,” while the Times-News praised their “deft musicianship, impeccable songwriting, distinctive vocals and creative arrangements.”
“Virtuosic” Western swing outfit The Time Jumpers received two nominations for their critically lauded eponymous debut. Bluegrass Today proclaimed it “a joy to listen to,” and Great American Country declared, “With a style that’s unique in today’s country landscape, The Time Jumpers deliver a gem with their timeless collection.”
