A little about Carl Jackson:

Multiple Grammy Award winner Carl Jackson was born in the small town of Louisville, Mississippi on September 18, 1953.  He hit the big stage early on in his career by landing a job with bluegrass greats, Jim & Jesse, at the ripe old age of fourteen.  At eighteen he joined the legendary Glen Campbell, where he grew and excelled for 12 years.

Jackson has written songs performed by Glen Campbell, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Pam Tillis, Trisha Yearwood, Joe Diffie, Diamond Rio, Brad Paisley and Rhonda Vincent, among hundreds of others.

The Mississippi Music Hall of Fame member received his first Grammy in 1991 for the album with John Starling, "Spring Training" which featured Emmylou Harris and her Nash Ramblers band.

One of Carl's finest production successes is entitled "Livin', Lovin', Losin' - Songs Of The Louvin Brothers" and was the 2003 Grammy winner for Country Album of the Year.  "How's The World Treating You", an incredible duet from the album, featuring James Taylor and Alison Krauss also won the Grammy for vocal collaboration.

In 2011 Jackson produced "Mark Twain:  Words & Music", celebrating the life of America's greatest writer, Samuel Clemens.  The project, narrated by Garrison Keillor, Clint Eastwood, Jimmy Buffet, & Angela Lovell, contains fantastic musical performances by Emmylou Harris, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, Rhonda Vincent, Bradley Walker, The Church Sisters, Sheryl Crow, Brad Paisley, Marty Raybon, Val Storey, Vince Gill, Joe Diffie, Ricky Skaggs, and Carl himself.  The Mark Twain:  Words & Music CD is the #1 most downloaded Americana album of "All Time" on the AirPlay Direct platform.

Carl's latest project, Grace Notes, is an inspired guitar instrumental portrait of dearly loved hymns.  It was recorded using a collection of rare acoustic guitars, some dating back to the mid 1800s, and includes Jackson's own voice telling the "story" behind each instrument.
