Kevin Carter and The Full Assurance Band welcome Miss Kara Kiker, from Concord, N.C. as the bands newest member.
Although Kara will assume the duties as fiddle player and harmony singer for the North Carolina based band, Kara brings a lot of additional talents to the group. She also plays guitar, piano and bass.
"I was amazed at Kara's talent when I first met her..." says Kevin Carter. She has a passion for the music and you can feel it when she plays.
Kara began her music career on the violin at age 9, and at age 11 she was performing with the Cornelius youth symphony. At age 13 she was promoted to first chair concert master. Kara got some valuable experience traveling and performing with the Hinkle Family last summer and enjoys different types of music. She admits her love to perform bluegrass gospel music is definitely at the top of her list.
Kara lives in Concord, N.C. and in her spare time she enjoys riding horses, four wheeling, hunting, fishing and hanging out with her friends.
