Ricky Skaggs has made the announcement that later this year he will release his first-ever autobiography, titled "KENTUCKY TRAVELER."
The book details the life of Skaggs and gives a priceless look at America’s most cherished and vibrant musical tradition through the eyes of someone who has lived it.
In addition to releasing his autobiography, Skaggs has again teamed with music legend BRUCE HORNSBY, this time for a live concert album titled, CLUCK OL' HEN. The album is currently scheduled for a 3rd quarter 2013 release.
With 12 #1 hit singles, 14 GRAMMY® Awards, eleven IBMA Awards, eight ACM Awards and eight CMA Awards (including Entertainer of the Year), Ricky Skaggs is truly a pioneer of Bluegrass and Country music. Since he began playing music more than 50 years ago, Skaggs has released more than 30 albums and has performed thousands of live shows.
Ricky is also an amateur photographer with more than professional abilities. Prescription Bluegrass’ own photographer Shelley Kilgore interviewed him for an exclusive report she file here in March. READ IT HERE and see samples of his unique photography never before published.
