Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion and Virginia Intermont College have teamed up to offer a Bluegrass Jamming Camp Sept. 18-20, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the college.
Veteran banjoist Gilbert Nelson will use the Wernick method, made famous by "Dr. Banjo" Pete Wernick, to teach the ins and outs of bluegrass jamming.
Jam Campers will learn how to play, lead and sing several bluegrass standards. No previous experience is required.
The cost of the three-day camp is $295, with lunch included each day.
Participants will also receive a free weekend pass to BRRR '13 (Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion). Space is limited, so sign up today!
