Two of the guitar world’s greats who both new of each other but had never met are just a small part of the landmark, history-making statistics that came from the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s WILL THE CIRCLE BE UNBROKEN recording project.
The Dirt Band’s string wizard John McEuen has just now released the audio recording of that historic moment captured in 1971 when Doc Watson and Merle Travis met each other for the first time.

Originally released in 1972, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s CIRCLE album is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary this year with a new re-issue now also on Capitol Records on 180 gram vinyl (released 2013, March).
