Columbus, OH (July 23, 2013) -- Columbus Recreation and Parks Department welcomes two of the most respected groups in bluegrass.
On Friday, July 26th, Lonesome River Band and Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, will perform in Bicentennial Park at 7 p.m. for an evening of bluegrass as part of the Rhythm on the River series.
Admission is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase beginning at 6:30 p.m.
After 30 years in the business, Lonesome River Band continues to deliver powerful, driving bluegrass with a rock-influenced edginess that distinguishes its music from any other.
Featuring the remarkable banjoist Sammy Shelor, perhaps the most influential banjo player of his generation, the Lonesome River Band is truly one of the greatest bands in bluegrass.
One of the most popular bands in bluegrass history, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out is one of the most influential groups in bluegrass.
Garnering more than 50 industry accolades since their inception, their a-cappella renditions of many songs can rarely be matched and their superb instrumentation provides even more quality sound to their rich vocal blend featuring one of the most respected lead vocalists of all time.
