Bluegrass is Sunday Morning Mainstream!

The IBMA picked up on their inclusion in the CBS “Sunday Morning” weekly calendar.

The Sunday morning television program regularly looks at the week ahead and posts items of note for each day of the upcoming week. 

Wednesday, August 14th’s entry was for the International Bluegrass Music Awards Nominee Announcements.

The IBMA’s Bluegrass Nation website yesterday included a story and graphic about the CBS Calendar

The 2013 Nominees are slated to be unveiled at a world-wide broadcast live in Nashville, Bluegrass fans can watch live as the final nominees for the 24th IBMA Awards are announced on Wednesday, August 14 at 6 p.m. EST on Music City Roots on www.musiccityroots.com.

Additionally, subscribers to satellite radio will also be able to tune in to the audio portion of the evening.

Hosting and Emceeing the 24th Annual International Bluegrass Music Association Award nominees live at Music City Roots’Loveless barn will be Sam Bush and Jim Lauderdale.

According to Washington D.C. Radio Personality Katy Daly,  “Several Raleigh venues are treating this like it's a national sporting event.”

Raleigh, NC will host the Awards  and the week-long Bluegrass Annual Convention, World of Bluegrass in September and for the following two years.   Some of  the places in Raleigh where Bluegrass fans can gather and watch the nominees announcements  on Wednesday are:
