Chatham County Line’s Dave Wilson who calls Raleigh, NC home didn’t set out to write a theme song or bluegrass anthem for the annual bluegrass convention which just concluded in his city. But that may be just what he’s done.
After absorbing the sights and sounds last week in Raleigh where the IBMA’s business convention, trade show and Wide Open Bluegrass street festival was held for the first time away from Nashville since 2005, Dave went home and did what he does. He set his thoughts and emotions to music. Judging from the crowd’s reaction the first time the song was performed on Raleigh’s City Plaza Center Stage during the free festival, it’s gonna be a hit.
