The folks in Owensboro, KY at the International Bluegrass Music Museum are giving folks a chance to shake the snow off their boots. They're bringing back the summer, steamboats, and dance boards.
Celebrate the music and dance of John Hartford at the International Bluegrass Music Museum on the banks of the Ohio River in Owensboro, the river he traversed so often and loved so well.
Performers at this special event include Colin O'Brien on banjo, dance board and Hartford hat tricks, the legendary Mike Compton on mandolin, popular ROMP veteran Samson Grisman on upright bass, and Hartford-style fiddler extraordinaire Matt Combs.
Proceeds benefit the museum as part of its ongoing "Musicians for the Bluegrass Museum" concert series, organized this season by bassist Samson Grisman as a gift to the museum.
