Jesse's wife Joy has updated us on his condition and writes:
Last Friday, January 17th, Jesse went to St. Thomas Hospital for an electrophysiological study on his heart. Jesse had been having irregular heartbeats & dizzy spells since last July.
The doctors found that his heart was beating as high as 200 beats per minute due to some bad nerve connections. Probably higher when he was playing fast music. It's a miracle he didn't have a heart attack.
The doctor is optimistic that Jesse's condition is cured. The procedure may need repeating, but we have to see how Jesse does.
This year, 2014, is Jesse's 50th anniversary at the world famous Grand Ole Opry. We are very excited & hopeful that Jesse will be able to come back to the Grand Ole Opry soon for his anniversary year.
