It's the time of year once again when Marathon Jams, hosted at numerous sites around the United States, will be gearing up for another 12 hour session. This year will be the sixth annual event.
According to John Santa with Blue Seven Productions, who hosts the original Marathon Jam in the Chapel Hill, NC area, "every single penny we receive will go to the Fisher House as it has every year."
Santa's calculations show that his single Marathon Jam has raised a total of $50,000 for Fisher House over the last five years and the cumulative total for all Marathon Jams across the country is over $250,000.
Fisher House Foundation is a network of comfort homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. These homes are located at major military and VA medical centers nationwide, close to the medical center or hospital they serve.
Pickers and spectators are invited to attend.
