Volume Five has released their latest album to radio stations and broadcast programmers which is an all-gospel project.
That means it won't be long before THE DAY WE LEARN TO FLY is also available publicly. They are expecting to release it still this month.
The title cut was written by a long time friend of the band Stacy Richardson.
They are also currently recording their next bluegrass CD called "VOICES." This CD will introduce you to many types of music and you can hear the same originality from Volume Five throughout the entire CD.
They also have recorded an old number with the talented Rhonda Vincent in which fiddler and vocalist,Glen Harrell and Rhonda do a duet through out the whole song that will leave you wanting to hear more.
Volume Five is an exciting band that's blazing their own red-hot trail on the bluegrass scene. The group consists of Glen Harrell- (fiddle & vocals), Patton Wages- (banjo, & vocals), Chris Williamson- (bass & vocals), Harry Clark- (mandolin & vocals), and Jeff Partin- (guitar & vocals).
Don't be surprised if these guys are not strangers to the festival goers, as each member of Volume Five has held tenure with a national touring band. Playing with such well known acts as Marty Raybon and Full Circle, The Anita Fisher Band, Randy Kohrs and The Lites, The Larry Stephenson Band, The Roys, and David Davis and The Warrior River Boys has helped each member of Volume Five hone his craft to perfection, while at the same time given each member the stage experience needed to entertain just about any crowd.
The band started getting together casually at the beginning of 2008, and after a few short jam sessions, it was apparent that this band had something unique to offer.
They have received critical acclaim for each of their projects starting with , DOWN IN A CELL, and continuing on with CHILDREN OF THE MOUNTAIN, followed by RUN, and they hope you will enjoy their efforts on this new project.
