With the number of stories we've published in the last year or so about the demise of some long-standing bluegrass festivals, it is certainly a pleasure to report the birth of a new festival.
Ron Ackerman, president of the North Carolina Bluegrass Association sent in the news of In The Pines Bluegrass Festival in Goldsboro, North Carolina
In The Pines Bluegrass Festival is brought to you by the North Carolina Bluegrass Association.
The North Carolina Bluegrass Association is proud to present the first In the Pines Bluegrass Festival, scheduled for Saturday, September 6th 2014.
Headlining the event will be Wayne Taylor and Appaloosa. A fantastic lineup of other great bluegrass bands includes Al Batten, Carolina Tradition, Samantha Casey and Bluegrass Jam, The Grass Strings, and North Carolina favorites, NU-BLU.
In addition to great music, the festival will offer exciting raffles, vendors, and more in an alcohol-free, family-friendly environment. While you're there, be sure to visit the museum, historical village, and hiking trails our venue, Waynesborough Park, has to offer!
