Albuquerque’s KRQE Television has a bizarre news story about a con-woman posing as famed Bluegrass vocalist and fiddler Alison Krauss in order to bilk unsuspecting men of their life savings.
53-year-old Peggy Sue Evers was caught and charged in Arkansas after marrying a 75 year old Fayetteville man and then took off with $40,000 of his money. Evers broke her $10,000 bond and went on the run. She has been recaptured in New Mexico where it was discovered that she had married another man using the same con.
