North Carolina Man Headed To Play Bluegrass - Now Missing - Police Need Public's Help To Locate Him!

Image635586698662283351The Lincoln County (North Carolina) Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating an 85-year-old man who went missing on Tuesday.

A family member reported Fulton Walton Byrum, Jr., 85, missing Tuesday night around 11 p.m. after he called relatives around 8:30 p.m. saying he was lost.

Police say that call was traced to a cellphone tower near the 14000 block of West Shopton Road, Charlotte, NC.

Byrum is in good health. He was driving to a friend’s home on Lake Wylie Road to play bluegrass music but never made it there.

Mr. Byrum is a white man with gray hair and blue eyes. He is approximately six-feet tall.

Family members say he usually wears jeans or work pants and a tee shirt. He was driving a beige 2014 Honda Civic with a North Carolina license plate of CME- 4068.

A silver alert has been issued.

Anyone with information about Mr. Byrum’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 704-732-9050 or the Lincoln County Communications Center at 704-735-8202.

  1. I google mapped that location and it is twisty roads near the lakes and coves. I hope they are searching the lakes near the road. Praying for his safe return.
