Cox will handle both Guitar and Lead Vocal duties.
He toured briefly with Cedar Hill in 2012-2013 traveling to England and Wales. Returning this year to Cedar Hill he has found his true music self.
His parents both played music for as long as he can remember. The weekend jam sessions of bluegrass and country music, were a big influence in his life.
When he was 17, Shannon joined a gospel bluegrass band led by a former member of Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys, Guy Stevenson. For many years he played in his own country music group, The Black Diamond Band. Shannon and his wife Katie, live in Fredericktown, Missouri.
