Donna Ulisse sets Songwriting Escape schedule for 2016!

Four-time IBMA Songwriter of the Year nominee Donna Ulisse has set the initial 2016 schedule and locations for her Songwriting Escape instrument and songwriting workshops.

She and her team will return to all three locations, in which they taught last year, in the following order:
  1. January 28-30, 2016: Flagler Beach, FL
  2. July 14-16, 2016: Yorktown, VA
  3. October 27-29, 2016: Bloomingdale, IN

Additional workshops being discussed will be added to the schedule as soon as all details are confirmed.

This year the workshops are being offered in three hour blocks, a la carte.  Ulisse felt this would be more accommodating for people who are not able to attend the whole weekend and to also offer something affordable to everyone at each level.

Workshops are being offered in banjo, acoustic guitar, upright bass, mandolin, vocal harmony, basic demo recording as well as co-writing, the nuts and bolts of songwriting and re-writing and editing songs.

Donna Ulisse has recorded nine albums of mostly original material for the Hadley Music Group label. Her current release Hard Cry Moon was recently #1 on the Roots Music Report album chart and #3 on the Euro-Americana chart. She authored the book The Songwriter in Me: Snapshots of My Creative Process.

Her songs have also been recorded by Claire Lynch, Darin & Brooke Aldridge, Nu-Blu, Larry Stephenson Band, Diana Jones & Louise Mosrie to name a few. The song Butler Brothers, which she co-wrote with Jerry Salley, was on the 2014 Grammy winning album Streets of Baltimore by Del McCoury Band and she and her husband Rick Stanley (and partner/teacher in the Songwriting Escape workshops) co-wrote the song "Wilma Walker" which is on the current Grammy nominated album In Session by Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver.
