During this past weekend’s Blazin’ Bluegrass Spring Festival in Whitley
City Ky, Open Rail was named the winner of the band contest.
The Gallipolis
Ohio band features members, Roger Harrison on guitar and vocals, John Cardwell
on mandolin and vocals, Don Titus on Banjo, Shane Lail on guitar and vocals ,
and Brian Ison on Upright Bass and vocals.
Though the band name may be new to
some this band has 8 years of playing bluegrass music to their credits.
Band spokesman Brian
Ison summarized the win like this.
“We have been in other competitions and placed well, but winning
has always eluded us. We were shocked, and excited to have won this one. So
many talented groups and singers were there and we were still yet picked. We
are honored to carry the title of winner for the Blazin Bluegrass Festival.”
The music these guys play is great but the harmony is AWESOME!!! Congrats. Good luck in your future endeavors
