Cheryl is originally from Pearisburg, Virginia; a historic small town in the New River Valley. The mountains have always been part of her life and part of her backyard. That’s what originally drew her to bluegrass music.
“I am thrilled to be working with such a great group of people,” offered Cheryl. “Jeff and Sherry Brown are remarkable folks both personally and professionally. The music Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome (JBSL) is putting out is incredible!” She added, “I call it traditional with a twist, and I want to do my best to make sure that everyone possible hears it and appreciates not just the sounds of the great music, but also the tradition behind it! The origins are in the mountains, where people work hard, love their families, have a deep respect for God and country, and love a little fiddle and banjo tune!”
Cheryl has worked in the public previously in marketing and advertising, contract administration, and customer service.
She currently resides in West Virginia with her husband Jeff, son Tyler, and their three dogs. Her husband Jeff is a songwriter with songs recorded in 2016 by Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice, Volume Five, and Jeff Brown & Still Lonesome, along with several other independent artists.
SBE was originally formed by Sherry & Jeff Brown to represent Jeff Brown and Still Lonesome.
SBE now also includes publicity for the James Wimmer Bristol Bluegrass Spring Fest (March 24 & 25, 2017) in Bristol VA and also for Union House Records.
According to the company’s Sherry Brown, they are expecting more announcements and more growth to come later in 2017.
