Spice of the South Music, a Florida-based booking agency, has announced the addition of Stoney Creek Bluegrass Band to its roster.
Owner and booking agent Nancy Jordan will represent the band for festival and concert series appearances.
"I am looking forward to working with Nancy Jordan," says Stoney Creek's Libby Files. "We are hoping to play more festivals and events in the Mid-Atlantic region and meeting bluegrass fans in new areas. I also want to encourage fans to check out the other artists who work with Spice of the South Music."
Stoney Creek's traditional bluegrass style consistently draws crowds of more than 300 at outdoor concerts in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle and the surrounding region of Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia. With Nancy Jordan's representation, the band is hoping to continue its trajectory throughout a larger part of the Mid-Atlantic states.
In 2016, Stoney Creek released "Memories & Tears," an all-original project featuring the songs of the late Deanna Stottlemyer. The album also saw the release of two music videos, "Come Stay Awhile" and "Never Tell Me." The band will be returning to the Outer Banks Bluegrass Island Festival in 2017, its first appearance there since 2013 (when Stoney Creek was joined onstage by Rhonda Vincent).
Spice of the South Music provides booking representation for Reno & Harrell, the Bluegrass Brothers, Eddie & Martha Adcock, Amanda Cook & Kennesaw Ridge, the Baileys, Chris Henry & the Hardcore Grass, Highway 41 South and Doug Flowers.
