American Banjo Museum Receives RedBud Award for Social Media Campaign!

The American Banjo Museum was honored with a RedBud Award of Merit for Best Social Media Campaign during the Oklahoma Travel Industry Association's annual awards gala. The event was held on May 16^th at the Oklahoma History Center

The American Banjo Museum was recognized for the social media campaign that promoted last year's exhibit; "The Banjo World of Steve Martin."

"We're honored to receive this recognition from the Oklahoma Travel Industry Association," said Johnny Baier, executive director, American Banjo Museum. "Hosting this once in a lifetime exhibit was a wonderful experience and provided us with a wealth of material for our social media channels."

"The Banjo World of Steve Martin", provided a look at the musical side of one of America's favorite entertainers. The exhibit, featured banjos from Martin's private collection, along with rare photos and an interview where Martin discussed his love for America's instrument, the banjo.

Last fall the exhibit itself, which ended its run in February of this year, received the Oklahoma Museum Association's award for outstanding exhibit.

At the American Banjo Museum, the artistry that goes into crafting highly ornate instruments and the skill and talent that goes into playing them is on full display. The American Banjo Museum brings history and art together in a song hundreds of years in the making.
