The Roys Are Riding
LONESOME WHISTLE
Up The Billboard Chart

The Roys are riding their brand new CD, LONESOME WHISTLE, straight up the Billboard Bluegrass Album Chart, landing at #7 this week. The disc, released March 22 on Rural Rhythm Records, features the brother/sister duo's latest single, "Coal Minin' Man." The video is airing on GACTV.com's Top Picks Channel (http://www.gactv.com/gac/video/), and is now on the ballot for the site's Top 20 Country Countdown. Fans can vote for Lee, Elaine and coal miners everywhere at http://bit.ly/VOTE4THEROYS
One of the reasons this brother-sister duo is so dynamic is their commitment to hard work and sharing their time with charities, benefits and causes.   This past week is no exception.  Amidst an already  hectic road schedule known in the promotion world as a "media blitz", both Elaine and Lee Roy took time out to participate in a fund-raising golf promotion for Christmas For Kids (pictures below)

The Roys' music continues to excite their fans - and a targeted CD launch campaign which included major media outlets introduced them to a variety of new audiences. Interviews and performances aired on several Fox Television Network programs, Better TV, ABC-TV's What's The BuzzDaytime, GAC-TV and Daily Buzz. Music critics are also embracing The Roys, saying:

"LONESOME WHISTLE is more than a bluegrass album. The 11-track recording is something of a painting of American life and an appreciation of those who keep the faith in bleak times."
- Nancy Dunham, AOL/The Boot

"The pair's strong, pure voices are way up front on solos, but the album really flies when they go at it together in a blend of that special harmony only siblings can achieve."

- Ed Symkus, Boston Herald

"They have a down-home, natural style that is given room to breathe in this straightforward album. Their positive message is in every note, and their souls whistle through the spaces in between. It's a ride well worth taking."
- Greg Victor, ParcBench.com

"... a telegenic brother-sister bluegrass and country duo with a passel of thoughtful, deeply felt original songs, engaging personalities and boundless energy. The harmonies are captivating, the voices evocative, the songs impressive and arresting, the playing impeccable."
- David McGee, TheBluegrassSpecial.com
