The Grascals' newest CD, DANCE TIL YOUR STOCKINGS ARE HOT AND RAVELIN' (A Tribute To The Music Of The Andy Griffith Show) has disc jockeys and radio programmers around the world clamoring for the music.
"All of us are huge fans of the show (The Andy Griffith Show). We're borderline experts," jokes Terry Smith. "We even have trivia contests with our audiences on the road." Winners, of course, receive a copy of DANCE -- although "stumping" the "masters" is actually pretty hard to do.
"We quote dialog back and forth on the bus," adds Terry Eldredge. "And we do have a real affinity for the show. I firmly believe that each of the episodes offers up a real moral code that we should all aspire to live by. Smitty and I watch the show every night."
The simpler, humbler life of the fictional Mayberry obviously has broad appeal, and The Grascals will be carrying the message of DANCE to more and more fans in the weeks to come.
