JASON WOOD, MANDOLIN PLAYER, JOINS AUDIE BLAYLOCK & REDLINE

Audie Blaylock & Redline welcome mandolin player, Jason Wood, from Statesville, NC.  Having been brought up in a family filled with music, Jason developed a strong love of Traditional Bluegrass Music.  Jason began playing guitar at the age of 7, then began playing mandolin in June of 2008 and was hired in 2009 by a North Carolina band, Constant Change, filming Song of The Mountains with legendary Curly Seckler.  Jason has performed numerous venues with his Grandfather, renowned songwriter, banjoist and vocalist, A.L. Wood.

Singing has always been an important part of Jason's life. Jason grew up singing in church and has also performed at various churches with his family.  While young in age, Jason has a very deep respect and knowledge for Traditional Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel Music. His major influences are Bill Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs and The Osborne Brothers.  Jason gives 100% credit to God for his talents.  He also credits his Father, Mike Wood, for showing him everything he knows about music.

Jason also proudly plays an Altman Mandolin.
