Bluegrass Is Still Ramblin’ after 39 Years!

Image634613697709790000Congratulations to New York Disc Jockey Bill Knowlton who celebrates 39 years of bluegrass on the air in Syracuse this weekend.   Bill’s first “Bluegrass Ramble” radio show was broadcast in 1973.   For his next broadcast this weekend 9 p.m. to midnight Sunday on WCNY-FM 91.3 and on WNCY.org, Bill with open wide the doors to the studio and invite his audience in for the show….all at no charge. 

Three live bands will entertain the crowd and the world-wide radio audience for the the IBMA’s “Distinguished Achievement Award” recipient’s 39 year anniversary show.  Knowlton says he’d love to see whole families come out for the event.

Performing will be John Cadley and the Lost Boys, The Tired Hands String Band and Diamond Someday. The taping is 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at 506 Old Liverpool Road, Liverpool, NY
