Like many bluegrass performers, Randall Masengill of Brand New Strings has a day job. We learned this morning of a work-injury that Randall suffered yesterday from that job.
Randall is a state trooper with the Tennessee Highway Patrol and was involved in a vehicle accident while he and another officer were investigating another accident. Both officers were hit by an on-coming car an knocked onto the first accident vehicle.
Both were sent to the hospital and then released with cuts and bruises.
Thanks to all the troopers and more that put their lives on the line every day.
