Bluegrass Music Film Festival Line-Up Announced For January 27

Image634935697848305022The line-up for the 6th Annual Northern California Bluegrass Society’s International Bluegrass Music Museum Film Festival has been announced.

The FREE event is set for Sunday, January 27, 2013, Noon-5:00pm, as part of the Northern California Bluegrass Society’s Bluegrass On Broadway Festival in Redwood City.

The Films:

  • The Porchlight Sessions (Anna Schwaber, TN)
  • The Mountain Music Project (Tara Linhardt, VA)
  • Child Of Troubled Times (Paula Lane, CA)
  • Bill Evans: Distance Between Two Points (Sarah Fisher, Blue Lotus Films, CA)
  • Bill Bollick Of The Blue Sky Boys (International Bluegrass Music Museum, KY)
  • Rollin’ On (James Reams, Redbird Mountain Music, AZ)

Special Presentation on Saturday, January 26:

  • Generation Bluegrass: The Next Generation Of Bluegrass Musicians (Corey Smith, NC)

The film festival, which features both new independent films and films from the IBMM’s Oral History Project Collection, will be held at the Redwood City Main Library, 1044 Middlefield Road, Redwood City.

The Saturday special presentation film will be shown as part of the Northern California Bluegrass Awards Concert at The Tapestry Church, 1305 Middlefield Road, Redwood City.

The NCBS BOB Festival is supported in part by an anchor grant from the Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission and will be held at various venues in Redwood City January 25-27. All events are FREE and open to the public.
