Video Tribute to Australian Bluegrass Disc Jockey

There’s nothing that says “Community” as much as how a person is treated after they’ve passed on.

Even though he resided and worked a half-a-world away from the United States, Australian DJ, Geoff Morris who passed away last week at age 70 is being eulogized, missed, remembered and honored by the bluegrass community in countless ways.

The latest honor, by Rural Rhythm Records comes in the form this tasteful video tribute posted today.

From his home base in Australlia, Geoff announced at the end of last year that he would suspend his Wall-To-Wall show on World Wide Bluegrass Internet Radio while undergoing therapy to treat an aggressive tumor discovered in his head and neck in December 2012.

Fellow WWB Announcer Uncle Billy Dunbar remember Geoff, saying: “Geoff joined the ranks of DJ’s on the WWB not long after myself. Over the year’s we conversed through e-mails. Geoff was such a loving fellow and working with him was really a plesure. He was truely a friend and mate to everyone around the world.”
