Congratulations to Ireland’s Niall Toner, the very first recipient of the European Bluegrass Music Association’s “Personality of the Year” Award.
The Award will be presented to Niall at the 5th European Bluegrass Summit to be held in Prague (Czech Republic) March 15-17.
Niall will receive the award publicly at the concert on Saturday evening.
The new award was created by the EBMA Board in hopes of recognizing and acknowledging past and present influential musicians, promoters, journalists, DJ’s, luthiers and others in Europe who contributed in a significant way to establish or popularize the Bluegrass Genre in the European community.
Niall was gracious enough to provide us with a copy of the letter he received from the EBMA Board.
