Rural Rhythm recording artist Dave Adkins of the driving new bluegrass group Dave Adkins and Republik Steele will perform the U.S. National Anthem for the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship - Nashville Regional at Vanderbilt's Hawkins Field this Saturday, June 1, at 7:00 p.m. CDT.
Adkins will perform the Anthem as a guest on the Children's Hospital & Arena Tour, which combines National Anthem performances at major sporting events with visits to local Children's Hospitals.
The Tour created by Sports PR professional Sherri George is a creative vehicle providing an invaluable emotional boost for hospitalized kids and their parents, while inspiring national patriotism and offering a winning scenario for sports teams and recording artists who perform.
Adkins will perform for Saturday evening's game in Music City, which will pair the winners of the tournament's Friday games: #3 Illinois vs #2 Georgia Tech, and #1 Vanderbilt vs #4 East Tennessee State. The game will be televised on ESPNU/ESPN3.
