“Go On” Dedicated to 2013 Grads

“Let your dreams pave the pathway you walk along in life
Let your prayers pull you back from the wrong to the right
Let your heart be the best friend you'll ever want to meet
And most of all let your self become the person you want to be

If you ever fall week
I pray you will be strong
Go On.”

Those are the opening words to Mike Andes’ song “Go On,” a song that is very special to Mike and he is now dedicating those words and the song to all 2013 Graduates.

Mike, front man and lead singer for the group Nothin Fancy, wrote the song as a gift of advice for his sons Mason and Dylan for their own high school graduation.  The song is included on Mike’s most recent solo effort, THE SONGS I SING.

“As our young adults move forward in life, I believe the words of this song will add comfort to both parents and children,” Mike said.

During his time with Nothin’ Fancy, Mike has been nominated for Mandolin Player of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Individual Entertainer of the Year and Songwriter of the Year through the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America (SPBGMA).

When Mike is not touring with Nothin’ Fancy, he enjoys building mandolins, fiddles and wood working in general. He also enjoys the outdoors and gardening with his wife, Becky, in their Pataskala, Ohio home. Together, Mike and Becky have three sons, one daughter and son-in-law and three beautiful grandchildren.
