Hard Road Trio Stands To Win Big In New Mexico Music Awards

The Hard Road Trio has been nominated for five New Mexico Music Awards.

Based on their latest album, Monticello, The Hard Road Trio is being recognized as finalists in 5 categories:

 

1. Folk/ Bluegrass:  "Family Secrets"
2. Singer/Songwriter:  "Break Free"
3. Instrumental:  "2:00 Moon"
4. Arrangement: "Tommy Chief"
5. Album Design: Monticello (Ronnie Garver, graphic designer)

Awards will be presented May 19 at the Sandia Resort in Albuquerque, NM.

The Hard Road Trio generated their original blend of Americana and Bluegrass music from the wide-open spaces of New Mexico. Mandolinist Steve Smith, guitarist/vocalist Chris Sanders and bassist Anne Luna are three songwriters and instrumentalists who have found their collective voice in the beauty of the Southwest. They just returned from a tour through the South up to Virginia gaining new fans with their entertaining shows. They also took the time to tour Jamestown and Jefferson's home Monticello.
