Image635078387575783991Former Cumberland River bass player Joey Jones takes his place on stage as a member of THE ROYS’ band officially on Saturday, July 6 at the 14th Annual Oats Bluegrass Festival in Benton, PA.

“I am very excited to join the Roys. I feel blessed to have this opportunity. To be on the road touring with good friends and making great music, it doesn't get any better than that!” said Jones.

The Roys had this to say about their new band-mate: “We are very excited to be adding Joey to our band. He's a professional both on and off the stage and is going to bless this band tremendously. He brings a wealth of touring experience and a strong songwriting side which we can't wait to collaborate with.”

Jones co-founded Cumberland River Band in 2009 with Jamie Dean.  Over the years Jones and Dean collaborated on several songs that were featured on the popular TV series Justified. In April, Jones stepped down from touring with the band to work full time with Rock House Entertainment booking agency which he formed earlier this year.
