As the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) staff and membership gear up once again for the annual convention, trade show and festival, staff are busy trying to get the word out.
This year’s event will be held away from Nashville, TN (for the first time since 2005) in Raleigh, NC.
To help spread the excitement and call attention to the new location, the IBMA has wrangled some high-powered assistance. Superstars like Del McCoury, a nine-time recipient of the industry’s Entertainer Of The Year Award, Doyle Lawson who was inducted into the Hall Of Fame in 2012 and even former Entertainer of the Year and comedian Steve Martin have donated their time and talent to record special radio public service announcements.
Radio stations, whether members of the IBMA or not can download the announcements in standard mp3 formats from Airplay Direct.
