Lockaby says he doesn’t want to remove himself entirely from the bluegrass scene and has some new ventures in the works.

In a letter sent to all of the company’s bands, Lockaby said, “I have the utmost respect for her (Laura), and her ability, that she will make this succeed.”

In addition, to his bluegrass plans, Lockaby and his son will be opening a restaurant in their hometown.

Deep River Management represents: Constant Change, Travers Chandler and Avery County, Hammertowne, Bridgetown and The Wrecked Fretts.

“I am forever grateful for his (John Lockaby’s) friendship and the knowledge he brought to the table and being a mentor to me. John and I will still collaborate on some projects in the future, and I'm looking forward to what the future will bring for both of us and the Deep River Family,” said Ms. Ridge.
