Huber Banjos and the Bluegrass Heritage Foundation have announced they are auctioning off a special edition VRB-G Custom "Wade Mainer Tribute" banjo on eBay.
A portion of the proceeds from this auction will go to support the Foundation’s Play It Forward Instrument Lending Program for kids!
The Foundation’s Play It Forward Program helps foster music literacy and performance skills in deserving young people (ages 8-21) by providing no-cost access to the primary bluegrass musical instruments such as mandolins, fiddles, banjos, and guitars.
The program, which was started with a grant from Pizza Hut, has enjoyed great success and presently has more than 35 instruments in use by young people from Texas to Tennessee! Find out more about the program, and see pictures of our lucky kids, on the Foundation’s news page.
This Huber VRB-G Custom is a re-creation of the famous 1930 Gibson Mastertone Granada banjo and features the full TRUETONE package with the famous HR-30 tone ring and Engineered Rim. The retail price on this instrument is $5,975.00 and includes a Superior hard shell case.
