Surprise CD from Donna Ulisse

Donna says, “We’ve been so busy working on it we have been fairly quiet!”

With all the hoopla and advance releases that get sent out to the media these days, catching us off guard may be the one different strategy left open.

SHOWNI’ MY ROOTS is a diverse collection of songs, in tempo and sentiment.  Another surprise from Donna, twice nominated for the IBMA’s Songwriter of the Year award, this is a “Covers” album.
Donna pays tribute to her musical heroes and influences like Loretta Lynn, whom Donna says is who she wanted to be when she grew up; Merle Haggard and Bonnie Owens, Dolly Parton  and the Stanley Brothers.

Guests on the album include Sam Bush who sings note for note with Donna on Loretta Lynn’s “Fist City”, Larry Cordle, Carl Jackson, Rob Ickes and producer Bryan Sutton among many others.
The album is due to be released in mid-October and should be available on Donna’s website, Amazon.com, CDBaby, iTunes, County Sales and many other retailers and download sites.
