It's always a sad affair when a prized instrument turns up missing. But hopefully with enough attention paid, the sadness can be reversed as was the case not too long ago with another instrument that was discovered and returned.
1988's National Flatpicking Guitar Champion, Peter McLaughlin has reported his vintage 1937 Martin D-18 (serial # 65414) was taken from his vehicle in Tucson Arizona.
The vehicle was parked in the downtown area of the city Friday night. According two Peter, it was the first time the instrument had left his house.
Anyone with information regarding the guitar's whereabouts should contact the Tucson, Arizona Police Department by phone at: (520) 791-4444 or use the "Report-A-Crime" link on their website and report via Text Message: http://www.tucsonaz.gov/police/submit-tip
If you're logged into Facebook, you'll be able to see the video of Peter playing the guitar below.
