Bluegrass On The Plains, the 7- Day festival held from Memorial Day, May 25th through May 31st in Auburn, AL has put out a call for competition bands to enter.
The contest, known as: Bluegrass Idol Band Competition features a prize package that includes a recording package with Mountain Fever Records (See Complete Rules for prize package restrictions)
This year the band competition will take place on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2015 at 7 PM on the Bluegrass On The Plains stage. Three judges sitting in front of the stage will offer comments of encouragement after each band performs.
The procedure for the event will be 15 bands performing 7 minutes with judges interaction of 3 minutes per band. The judges will choose the top 6 bands based on the criteria of the Judges Ballot .
During the second round the audience will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite band in addition to judges points.
There is no entry fee for the bands. All band members in the contest will receive 1 FREE 5-day pass to the festival and one free meal on Monday night.

All applicants will be reviewed by the Bluegrass Idol Committee and those accepted will receive a phone call of acceptance as well as a letter of acceptance.
