C.F. Martin & Co. has spent 2016 celebrating the 100th anniversary of its most iconic guitar body size – the Martin Dreadnought (1916-2016),
The Dreadought style is known worldwide as the most replicated guitar body size in the world.
A highlight of the year-long celebration was the award-winning documentary film produced by Martin Guitar entitled, "Ballad of the Dreadnought", which can be viewed at http://bit.ly/dreadnoughtballad.

Since its online premiere on May 5, 2016, the film has been viewed over 50,000 times and has also been officially selected by various prestigious film festivals, including the 2017 San Luis Obisbo International Film Festival, Holly Shorts Film Festival, New Hope Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival and the USA Film Festival.

The "Ballad of the Dreadnought" highlights Martin Dreadnought's long, illustrious history in American music over the past century, its historic roots and the amazing array of legendary music artists past and present, from country to pop/rock to folk to Americana to bluegrass, who have made the Martin Dreadnought a key part of their own musical legacies.
The film is narrated by actor and musician Jeff Daniels and features interviews with Martin Guitar's Chairman & CEO Chris Martin IV, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Steve Miller, Rosanne Cash, Del McCoury, Vince Gill, Fred Oster (Vintage Instruments), George Gruhn (Gruhn Guitars), Jason Isbell, Seth Avett (The Avett Brothers), Sturgill Simpson and many more.
