Smokie Christmas Festival Raises $10K For Fire Victims Relief Fund!

Lorraine Jordan, Carolina Road bandleader, took part in relief efforts held to benefit the parts of east Tennessee devastated by wildfires.

Lorraine  was on hand for the televised event, where she passed along a check for the funds raised at her annual Christmas in the Smokies festival the first week of December in Pigeon Forge.

"…Christmas in the Smokies bluegrass festival raised $10,000 and I was honored to hand it over to Dolly Parton for her My People fund on live TV, Dolly made a statement thanking the bluegrass community for their contribution and generosity.  I was proud and honored to be an ambassador for the bluegrass people.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every Bluegrass fan that helped make the 2016 Christmas in the Smokies Bluegrass Festival such a sucess and our contirbution to the Smoky Mountain Relief Efforts a reality, we couldn't have done it without you!
